This white wine, De Groot Parys Die Tweede Draam Vatgegis Chenin Blanc, is a remarkable 100% Chenin Blanc from a stunning old vineyard over 40 years in age, known for its low yield and immense potential. In 2019, renowned winemaker and vineyard expert Elizma Visser, also the winemaker at Olifantsberg, took a leading role in both vineyard management and winemaking. Elizma's influence is evident in this complex and enduring wine, which emphasizes natural processes in a healthy old vineyard.

The Chenin Blanc grapes underwent a 10-day skin contact period, being only destemmed and not crushed. A small portion (13%) was aged in amphorae, with the remainder maturing in French oak barrels for over 10 months.

In the glass, this wine is a sparkling yellow with a greenish hue. The nose is open and inviting, offering aromas of honeydew melon, apricot, oak-derived vanilla, hazelnut, and spicy white fruit. On the palate, it is full and juicy, with a beautiful freshness, light vanilla notes, a slight bitterness, and a long-lasting finish.
